Thanks to your support through fundraisers, hot lunch orders, funfair wristband sales, and generous donations, we were able to invest in a wide range of programs and activities that directly benefit McGirr students. Here's how we put those dollars to work in the 2024–2025 school year:

Breakdown of PAC Spending This Year:

  • $7,090 – Subsidizing school field trips so that every class could enjoy hands-on, out-of-classroom learning without the burden of extra cost to families

  • $2,000 – Grade 7 Grad Celebrations to honour our students moving on to high school

  • $1,771 – Free school-wide pizza lunch as a fun community-building event for all students

  • $1,765 – Classroom support for things like extra supplies, tools, or learning enhancements

  • $1,500 – Bursaries/Scholarships awarded to former McGirr students graduating from Grade 12

  • $309.12 – PAC website built to keep parents informed and connected

  • $100 – BCCPAC Membership, giving McGirr a voice at the provincial level

We also earmarked $3,500 for Art Enrichment Programs, including support for McGirr’s first ever musical theatre production: Annie Junior!

We’re proud of how these funds have enriched student life at McGirr. Whether it’s learning, celebrating, creating, or connecting, every dollar helps us build a stronger school community.

Thank you to all the families and volunteers who helped make this possible!
