Join the PAC Team for 2026/27

We’re looking for enthusiastic, community-minded parents to join our PAC executive team for the 2026/27 school year! Volunteering with PAC is a great way to get involved in your child’s school, meet other families, and make a real impact.

Volunteering with PAC is a wonderful way to get involved in your child’s school, connect with other families, and make a meaningful impact on our school community. PAC helps support school events, field trips, classroom resources, equipment purchases, and many of the extra opportunities that make our school such a special place for students.

We currently have the following volunteer opportunities available:

PAC President

The President helps guide the overall direction of PAC and works closely with school staff and families to help build a positive and connected school community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaboration, communication, and helping organize initiatives and events.

Responsibilities include:

• Chairing PAC meetings

• Helping coordinate PAC activities and initiatives

• Working collaboratively with school administration and families

• Supporting communication within the PAC community

Treasurer

The Treasurer helps manage PAC finances and ensures funds are organized and tracked responsibly. This role is well suited to someone who is organized and comfortable managing budgets and financial records.

Responsibilities include:

:• Keeping track of PAC income and expenses

• Providing financial updates at PAC meetings

• Managing budgets and banking records

• Helping ensure PAC funds support school initiatives and student opportunities

Secretary

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys organization and communication and is looking for a lighter commitment. You would be sharing the role with our current secretary, meaning responsibilities are divided and support is built in.

Responsibilities include

:• Helping create meeting agendas

• Taking and sharing minutes for up to five PAC meetings during the school year

Spirit Wear Coordinator

Love school spirit and creative projects? This role manages our McGirr spirit wear sales and helps students and families show their school pride. Most of the work takes place at the beginning of the school year, making it a manageable and fun position.

Responsibilities include:

• Organizing spirit wear orders and promotions

• Coordinating the Grade 7 “Class of ___” hoodies

• Distributing orders to students and families

(We’d especially love to see a Grade 7 parent take on this role!)

Fundraising Coordinator

This role helps organize fundraising opportunities that allow PAC to continue supporting students and the school in meaningful ways. Funds raised help provide equipment, support field trips, respond to special funding requests, and enhance student experiences throughout the year.

Responsibilities include

:• Organizing various fundraisers throughout the school year

No previous experience is necessary — just a willingness to help and be part of our school community. Current and past PAC members are happy to provide support, and no one is expected to manage things alone.

Interested or want to learn more?

Join us at the PAC AGM on Monday, June 15 at 6:15 PM in the Learning Lab (aka Library).

We’d love to have you on the team!
